Practical Medical Solutions
Practical Medical Solutions
First question: When dealing with emergencies, am I prepared? Second: Do I have a viable course of action? Third: Is said course of action effective?
This course is designed specifically to give you the most field/battle tested, evidence-based approaches to solving the problems of medical emergencies on your own until the professionals arrive. It is a priority-based approach for when the unexpected happens to you. The course is based on decades of experience across the globe in combat/austere/wilderness settings and blends that with current cutting edge civilian practices. What you get is no nonsense, no fluff, all applicable, outcomes-based systems that a civilian off the street to a surgeon can apply in a self-aid/buddy aid situation.
The course curriculum covers TCCC and Wilderness Algorithms. It covers both commercial and improvised techniques. Equipment is based on the COTCCC approved adjuncts and IFAK kits.
Learning topics include security considerations/safety, active shooter, blast injury, burns, bleeding control, basic airway control, chest trauma, management of shock and other internal injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, head injuries, common medical emergencies in a delayed care environment, lifting and moving patients, triage, emergency evacuation, and much more!
Equipment:
1) A learning mindset and outdoor clothes that can get dirty/fake bloody, good shoes.
2) 10 essentials. (Google it)
3) If wanted bring your own IFAK/Med kits so we can take a look, or if you would like to learn what is best to purchase, training aids are available and we can help you get the correct equipment so you are properly lined out.
4) Write in the rain notebook and pen.
Looking forward to seeing you out there! Stay safe, and if you can't be safe, be dangerous.
